    Director, Global Human Resources

    Responsibilities

    • HJFMRI is seeking a Director, Global HR to support Human Resources activities in the Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya. The Director, Global HR position is responsible for all non-U.S. HR operations and is personally responsible for local and third country employee HR matters.
    • HJFMRI is seeking a Global Human Resources Director to provide support to our international programs operating in all non-US locations, but predominantly across Africa and Southeast Asia and some operations across EMEA. The Global Human Resources Director will provide HR leadership to HJFMRI’s portfolio leaders and their leadership teams by contributing to business unit strategy, developing and executing an aligned people strategy which reflects in-country context, designing global people plans, and ensuring the coherent implementation of global HR processes. The Global HR Director will help implement HJFMRI’s strategic plan for continued growth and globalization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide HR leadership to HJFMRI’s portfolio leadership as it relates to human resources programs and policies, often encompassing several areas of human resources, including organizational development, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, performance management, and training.
    • Provide insightful analysis and proactively raises potential issues of planned strategies, using knowledge of business objectives, structure, leadership style, culture and capability and awareness of external trends and best
    • Gather and analyze relevant data, trends and patterns and identify gaps and priorities, particularly in the areas of global talent management, performance management, workforce planning, strategic recruitment, and international capability Communicates findings and conclusions to HJFMRI’s portfolio leaders on an ongoing regular basis.
    • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable labor regulations.
    • Influence and communicate with all levels of employees including senior leadership and demonstrate the ability to act both strategically and tactically when needed and have skills in the areas of problem solving, systems thinking, diplomacy, conflict resolution and

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Willingness to travel internationally as needed. Familiarity with international development systems and policies. Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, global environment. Culturally sensitive and respectful to local cultural context. Former full-time experience working for an international organization implementing global HR best practices.

    Minimum Education:

    • BS/BA in human resources, international relations or another business-related field or 10-15 years of human resource experience in direct relation to global human resources activity.

    Preferred Experience :

    • Experience providing Human Resources management/support to United States Government funded programs. Knowledge of international US Government Contracting business. Professional HR and/or Global HR credentials obtained through industry recognized organizations. (Example: HRCI or SHRM). Experience working in the scientific, technical or research fields.

    Minimum Experience/Training Requirements:

    • Experience providing Human Resources management/support to United States Government funded programs abroad. Knowledge of international US Government Contracting business. Professional HR and/or Global HR credentials obtained through industry recognized organizations. (Example: HRCI or SHRM). Experience working in the scientific, technical or research fields.
