Job Description/Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Land Economics, Urban and Regional Planning or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
• be a member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (Land Administration and Management Chapter); and Registered member of Kenya Institute of planners.
• shown outstanding ability and competence to organize, control and co-ordinate land administration function in accordance with relevant statutes and regulations.
• Have a Strategic Leadership or Senior management training from a recognized institution

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of land information management system 
• Advise stakeholders and clients on technical matters related to planning and development controls within the County
• Provide geodetics infrastructure for the purpose of cadaster survey, mapping Engineering and scientific research.
•  Implement policies of National Land commission on Land administration and management
• Advise the County Government on Survey and mapping
• Formulation Policy and for the land department
• Prepare and provide thematic and utility maps for the purpose of planning management of natural environment resources, preservation and development.
• Establish land sub units necessary for execution of the land administration functions.
• Maintenance of sub divisional schemes and engineering surveys
• Monitoring and evaluating survey and mapping activities within the county
