Requirements for Appointment:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree disaster management or an equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Must have 3 years’ experience in served in disaster management, preferably fire stations;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya,2010 clearances

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in emergency planning including fire disaster management
• Ensure that there is sound disaster preparedness program which is alert and ready to offer to offer quickest disaster response
• Undertake fire safety training and drills in all county establishments
• Ensure total compliance to the workplace safety standards emergency fire equipment are in place in all county government buildings
• Prepare the firefighting team and equipment for quick response to fire and other disasters in the county
• Act as a duty officer as part of the 24 hours duty system, responding as they may arise
