• Greenbo Africa Ltd is a comprehensive solutions provider for the design, engineering, and manufacturing of steel structures for the design outlook of telecommunication sites, broadcasting, power, and renewable energy industries. The company designs and manufactures a wide range of steel lattice towers, masts, and other steel structures for the regional market, thereby offering unique solutions suitable for various geographical locations, conditions, and restrictions.
• We are currently searching for a qualified and self-motivated junior structural engineer to join our Design & Implementation department.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaising with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
• Calculating dimensions, weight limitations, and requirements in materials
• Describing production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
• Creating detailed drawings with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Coordinate with all persons in the interface in preparing daily progress reports on progress made both in the design office, production flow, and site implementation.
• Establish, document, and implement a Quality management system as per the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standard.
• Preparation of a schedule of works for each task order in MS Project and tracking actual progress versus plans. Estimating and costing for quotation and tendering. Prepare of accurate bill of materials as per drawings and tender specifications.
• Conducting a site survey, multi-site visit (MSV), taking necessary information, and taking accurate site dimensions.
• Prepare accurate material list, bolts list, and packing list documents.
• Checking finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning for re-work, and confirming re-work.
• Recommend necessary corrective actions, based on inspection results.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Associate's Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Draftsman in the construction or fabrication industry.
• Proven experience in drafting for telecommunication towers, Godowns, and/or heavy steel fabrication is essential.
• Project Management skills
• Creating detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software. Add Tekla Structures, Revit, and AutoCAD • Estimation and costing.
