Driver at Fargo Courier

JOB PURPOSE

• The incumbent is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to facilitate timely delivery and collection of consignments whilst adhering to company policies, HSE procedures and road safety requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely drive company vehicles and ensure timely deliveries and collections.
• Safely load and offload consignments in line with HSE procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with Dispatch and Control Room teams.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep, and promptly report defects, damage or malfunctions requiring servicing.
• Follow vehicle handover/takeover, journey, work-ticket and courier procedures, in compliance with company policies, Driver Golden Rules and traffic laws.
• Ensure vehicle branding, licensing and statutory compliance requirements are maintained and adhere to company requirements on reporting times and authorized passengers.
• Protect customer and shipment information in line with the Data Protection Policy.
• Uphold professionalism, integrity, courtesy and excellent customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School KCSE Certificate.
• Valid driving license
• 5 years and above of heavy commercial vehicles driving experience.
• High integrity, honesty and professionalism.
• Good grooming, communication and time management.
• Safe and courteous driving.
• Customer-focused and cost-conscious.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
