Driver Trainer at Simba Corp

PURPOSE:

The driver trainer is responsible for providing classroom and on the road training to internal and client drivers on routine vehicle maintenance, vehicle operating & maneuvering techniques, product knowledge and safe vehicle operation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Train drivers on procedures of inspecting and operating all vehicle models
• Train clients and conduct field demonstrations with different vehicle models
• Conduct product training to customers and internal drivers
• Perform on-road tests and evaluate driver’s talent
• Drive car carriers & any other vehicle assigned by the supervisor
• Maintain & utilize databases of driver qualifications and training schedule
• Attend training sessions when required
• Plan and conduct refresher training for company drivers
• Follow-up with client drivers on new vehicle performance

Academic Qualifications

• High school certificate
• Driving qualifications for commercial & articulated vehicles
• ICT skills.

Experience

• 10 years experience in heavy commercial driving

Skills

• Good organization, coordination and report writing skills
• Good communication and computer literacy
• Customer service and public relations skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
