Emergency Dispatcher - Medic at Flare Emergency Response

About the role:

We are looking for team members to join Dispatch team as an Emergency Dispatchers. You will ensure that we adhere to our mission and vision and can save lives in the shortest amount of time possible.

This is what you will do:

• Assess emergencies promptly and follow the company protocols.
• Facilitate clear communication between callers and first responders, ensuring an optimal response and service.
• Provide medical guidance to callers and patients until professional help arrives.
• Utilize technology to make the response seamless, fast, and high quality.
• Coordinate patient admissions to hospitals, keeping hospitals informed about patient status and bed availability.
• Maintain accurate records of emergency calls and dispatches using the Flare platform.

Requirements

• Have a medical background (Paramedics, EMTs, Nurses, Clinical Officers)
• Proven ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional talent for active listening.
• Skilled multitasker with the ability to stay focused amidst various responsibilities.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in computer usage.
• Proficient touch typist (35 WPM blind touch typing required).

Bonus points if:

• You have worked in the fields of emergency medicine, aeromedical evacuations, critical care/Intensive Care Unit nursing.
• You have worked in firefighting or security response.
• Active certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
