    Engineer (KMFRI Grade 6) - 1 Post

    Duties and responsibilities in this position will entail:

    1. Interpretation of design and costing of research infrastructure, plant and equipment; inspecting and testing of plant and equipment;
    2. Designing engineering and infrastructure projects;
    3. Supervision of infrastructure projects;
    4. Generation of site meeting report as directed;
    5. Interpretation of design and costing of research infrastructure, plant and equipment; inspecting and testing of plant and equipment;
    6. Preparation of bill of quintiles and specification for tendering; and
    7. Compilation and summation of departmental quarterly and annual reports. 

    Requirements for appointment/Persons Specification

    1. At least three (3) years’ relevant work experience;
    2. Bachelor of Science Degree in one of the following fields: - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Building and Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering
    3. Associate registration with the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
    4. Proficiency in computer application; and
    5. Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.

    1. Communication skills;
    2. Interpersonal skills; 
    3. Organizational skills; 
    4. Good team player; and
    5. Ability to work under pressure.

    • Clearance from recognized Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
