ERP Web Portal Developer at Kenya Red Cross Society

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient individual to fill the position of ERP Web Portal Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for our current Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system and will be involved in facilitating the transition to Microsoft Business Central. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing web portals for self-service access and creating APIs to integrate the ERP with other essential services, including automating payments with banks and other functional areas of Navision to aid in business.

Key Responsibilities:

ERP Management:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system.
• Lead the transition and upgrade to Microsoft Business Central.
• Configure, customize, and enhance ERP functionalities to meet organizational needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues.

Web Portal Development:

• Design and develop user-friendly web portals for self-service access to ERP data and functionalities.
• Utilize .NET technologies for web portal development.
• Ensure web portals are responsive and accessible across various devices and business functions.

API Development:

• Build and maintain APIs that facilitate seamless integration between ERP and other systems, particularly for automating payments with banks.
• Ensure data synchronization, security, and optimal performance of APIs.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP systems.
• Strong proficiency in web portal development using .NET technologies (ASP.NET, C#, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in creating APIs for ERP integration.
• Knowledge of database management and SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications in Dynamics NAV and Business Central.
• Microsoft certification in Web Portal Development.
• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions.
• Experience working in a humanitarian or non-profit organization.
