Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce a final film or video product;
• Uploading and sharing photos to the various audiences including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc;
• Manage and maintain production equipment and technology, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment;
• Taking photos and videos as requested; this will include regularly scheduled photos/videos.
• Working with a range of media, including computer-aided design (cad), and keeping up to date with emerging technologies;
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design;
• Keep up to date with industry trends and new technology, making recommendations for equipment and software upgrades as necessary;
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements for Appointments

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
•  Relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years in video editing and photography;
• Have a diploma in any of the following fields:— Film and Theatre Arts, Film and Video Production, Film and Animation, Photography and Video Production, Video Editing and Photography Production, Performing Arts and Film Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Have a clear understanding of the working of the media and the socio-political environment in Kenya;
• Possess advanced computer application skills;
• Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others;
• Strong technical skills, with experience in camera operation, lighting, and sound equipment;
• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro;
• Membership to a relevant professional body;
• Demonstrate professional competence in work performance and results and exhibited a thorough understanding of national goals, policies and objectives;
• Any other related course will be an added advantage;
