    Food Campaign Internship

    Campaign Coordination & Support

    • Assist in planning, logistics, and coordination of campaign activities (community engagements, learning exchanges, advocacy workshops, field visits, policy roundtables, digital campaigns, youth dialogues, and strategic webinars. etc.).
    • Provide administrative and organizational support during events and field visits.
    • Track timelines, partner commitments, and activity outputs.

    Content Development & Documentation

    • Support documentation of campaign activities through writing, photography, and data gathering.
    • Draft summaries, meeting reports, and partner briefs.
    • Assist in creating blog posts, social media content, and digital storytelling materials.

    Research & Analysis

    • Support background research including topics such as agroecology, seed laws, pesticide use, and food sovereignty in Africa.
    • Compile and organize relevant studies, policy briefs, and media mentions.
    • Monitor key events (COP, regional summits, etc.) for advocacy entry points.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

    • Support outreach to allies, volunteers, and grassroots communities.
    • Assist in organizing collaborative projects with farmers, CSOs, and influencers.

    Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

    • Support basic data collection and reflections from campaign activities.
    • Assist in gathering feedback from partners and participants.
    • Contribute to internal reports and learning sessions.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

    Education:

    • A degree/diploma graduate in Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Political Science or a related field.

    Skills & Experience:

    • A strong interest in food justice, agroecology, and environmental activism.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Willingness to learn and support community-based work and campaign events.
    • Any prior experience (volunteer, academic, or personal) in research, writing, organizing events, or storytelling is a plus.
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite); 
    • Social media awareness and understanding/openness to understand the African civil society landscape is desirable.
    • Bilingual proficiency (English required; French an advantage).
