    Fundraising Manager- Nairobi

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement an effective fundraising strategy and action plan to achieve the Foundation’s financial targets.
    • Collaborate with hospital leadership and departments to identify funding needs and align initiatives with organizational priorities.
    • Oversee and coordinate all fundraising activities, including grants, corporate and individual giving, events, and volunteer-led initiatives.
    • Identify, research, and manage a strong pipeline of local and international funding opportunities.
    • Build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and other key fundraising stakeholders.
    • Prepare and submit compelling funding and grant proposals, ensuring timely impact and financial reporting.
    • Partner with the communications team to produce materials that support donor engagement and fundraising campaigns.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the fundraising team while managing annual budgets and driving sustainable growth of the function.

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; formal training in fundraising is an added advantage.
    • Proven experience in grant writing and developing innovative local and international fundraising strategies.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
    • Results-oriented, proactive, and tenacious in following up on leads and prospects.
    • Self-starter who can work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach.
    • Passionate about the Foundation’s mission and knowledgeable about the health sector; financial literacy is an advantage.
    • Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
