General Manager, FAHARI INCOME REIT at ICEA Lion Group

The General Manager, FAHARI INCOME REIT will be responsible for formulating, revising and implementing investments for the FAHARI INCOME REIT and ensuring that the REIT is managed in accordance with NSE rules and regulations. He/She will report to the Chief Executive Officer, ICEA LION Asset Management Limited.

Job Objectives: The GM will be responsible for :

The GM will be responsible for establishing the strategic and operational direction of the Trust, including the general management of the business.

The GM’s role will, among other things, include:

1. Managing the day to day activities of the REIT, including operational and capital management, acquisitions and dispositions;
2. Developing and monitoring the REIT’s strategic direction;
3. Strive to achieve the REIT’s short and long-term financial and operating goals and objectives;
4. Ensure compliance of the REIT with all applicable laws, rules and regulations;
5. Act as the spokesperson for the REIT including representing the Trust to the Unit holders and other stakeholders;
6. Develop budgets and business plans that support the REIT’s objectives;
7. Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the REIT’s financial reporting and public disclosures;
8. Formulate long term policies and strategies that create value for Unit holders of the REIT.

Experience:

10 years’ experience as an Investment professional in a Real Estate related industry

Education:

The General Manager, FAHARI INCOME REIT will be responsible for formulating, revising and implementing investments for the FAHARI INCOME REIT and ensuring that the REIT is managed in accordance with NSE rules and regulations. He/She will report to the Chief Executive Officer, ICEA LION Asset Management Limited.

Job Objectives:

1. An undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Building Economics, Land Economics, Architecture, Property Management, Valuation or any other property related discipline from a recognized university.
2. A Master’s degree with an emphasis on Finance, Economics and Real Estate or CFA/CPA/ACCA will be an added advantage.
