Go-Down Mechanic at Watu Credit Limited

As a Mechanic you will be responsible for technical condition and exterior condition assessment of the bikes, repairs, maintenance, and inventory check within the assigned branch office by delivering and maintaining the highest-level professional service to the Company clients.

A successful Mechanic is expected to adapt to the fast-paced culture of both the company, the market, and the customers we serve.

Job Description:

• Inspect the condition of all assets (bikes, tuktuks, three wheelers) in the Go-Down with the status “For Sale” and evaluate any repairs if needed.
• Categorize all bikes in the Go-down using existing tools and give report to the Go-down Manager.
• Arrange all bikes in the Go-Down for proper storage according to the approved instructions.
• Carry out repairs of the assets brought into the Go-Down.
• Evaluate the cost of the repairs and help carry them out.
• Control inventory stock by checking and updating of corresponding information on a monthly base.
• Reporting all company related expenses (repair cost, transport, other related expenses) in accurate manner.
• Carry out other tasks as requested by the company’s management.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of proven experience as a Mechanic.
• Diploma/Certificate in a relevant field.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Aptitude in using various hand tools.
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices, read instructions, blueprints, etc.
• Integrity, enthusiasm and passion for continuous learning and development.
• An effective self-starter able to multitask and successfully operate in a fast paced, team environment.
• Good customer service skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
