Hardware Store Clerk-Thika at Gap Recruitment Services Limited

Job Summary:

• As a Hardware Store Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our hardware store. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Ensure accurate labeling, pricing, and shelving of products.
• Perform regular stock checks and assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Conduct periodic stock audits to identify discrepancies and report them to the Store Manager.

Customer Service:

• Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns efficiently and professionally.

Store Organization:

• Arrange products on shelves and displays to enhance visibility and accessibility.
• Monitor and replenish stock as needed to ensure a well-stocked store.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and inventory levels.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Store Clerk
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and sales reporting.
• Knowledge of hardware and construction materials is an added advantage.
