    Head of Materials Planning - Africa

    About the role

    The Head of Material Planning in the Africa PLAN is accountable for managing the overall supply for all components including raw materials, pack materials, spares in all African supply facilities. You will ensure material OTIF meets targets, material inventory is optimized, supports business growth of the region, advances digitization journey for PLAN. Reduces obsolescence costs for product and materials, makes production and/or inventory sourcing decisions that support Supply Planning, DRP, and local Manufacturing.

    Responsible for the accurate and cost-effective management of returnable assets (bottles, kegs, crates, etc.) for their reverse logistics planning and reincorporation into production.

    This role must be capable of performing root cause and trend analysis for critical case volume and inventory valuation data and lead scenario planning for short and medium term coupled with ability to drive decisions based on those insights

    The role should strengthen and sustain effective communication between the Centre of Excellence and key stakeholders in the markets, including Supply Chain Directors, Production and Materials Scheduling, as well as with Suppliers and 3rd Parties.

    This role is key to establish an effective working relationship between Scheduling and the  rest of the Centre of Excellence functions (Supply Planning, Materials Planning, S&OP, Planning Excellence), as well as the production/packaging sites in each of the countries, as well as the Africa SOURCE Centre of Excellence to achieve optimized production and inventory plans that fulfil the markets’ demands and support gross margin ambitions

    About you

    You will have hands-on and leadership experience working within progressive positions in Planning with greater focus on material planning with relevant experience across CPG, F&B industry.

    You’ll demonstrate strong personal drive and ability to foster effective working relationships with stakeholders, peers, leaders and bringing leadership and influencing skills to fore.
