Human Resource Officer at Kenya Space Agency

Person Specifications (Education, Experience & Competencies) 

• Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Proficiency in computer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing human resource management decisions within existing rules, regulations and procedures;
• Processing information relating to recruitment, promotion, leave, transfer and exit documents;
• Updating payroll and complement data;
• Maintaining accurate records of expiry of contracts, probationary periods, and acting appointments, and submitting reports for decision making;
• Collating and compiling training applications and staff performance appraisals;
• Updating the human resource management information system;
• Compiling agenda and minutes for the human resource advisory committee;
• Drafting routine correspondence;
• Identifying areas of risk in the department;
• Implementing the department's charter;
• Promoting Business Process Re-engineering (BPR);
• Implementing the business continuity plan for the department; and
• Fostering a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship.
