Our Client is a leading energy company in Kenya and they are seeking to recruit a Human Resource Officer to join their team and to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and interviewing potential applicants on experience, skills, and education
• Drawing up plans for future personnel hiring procedures and goals
• Performing administrative and payroll tasks
• Overseeing employee health and safety procedures
• Organizing and managing new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
• Updating job requirements when needed
• Explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs, and education
• Advising on company benefit needs or evaluating benefit contract bids
• Covering all legal compliance for human resource based on Kenyan law requirements
• Maintaining employee records and paperwork
• Answering employee questions and addressing employee concerns with company
• Reviewing procedures for employee safety, welfare, wellness and health

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as HR personnel or another HR Executive
• People oriented and results driven
• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• Degree in Human Resources or related field.
