Brief Role Description:

• The ICT Specialist is responsible for efficient operation of IT infrastructure and IT support services in the company and advising the management on best ICT and data protection practice

Key Role and Responsibilities: –

• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
• Monitor server performance, ensure system availability, and optimize server environments.
• Implement and manage server security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patch management, software updates, and backups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain documentation for server configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Manage network resources and services, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout the organization’s LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network administrators to optimize and secure network performance.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures.
• Perform regular backups and recovery drills to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Respond to and resolve any incidents related to data loss or server downtime.
• Provide top-Level technical support for server-related issues.
• Assist in the training and support of IT staff and end-users.
• Stay current with new technologies and advancements in server administration.
• Participate in IT projects, providing technical expertise and full implementation.
• Design, and implement new server systems and services.
• Work with vendors and service providers to procure and manage server hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in ICT/Computer
• At least 3 years of progressive working in a similar position
• Science or related field
• Relevant Professional certifications –
• CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA, ICDL, MoL,
• MCSA/MCSE, Microsoft 365, Security
• Administrator Associate, Oracle Database
• Certification, CTNS
• Relevant telecommunications certification preferably by Huawei
• Certified Ethical Hacking, CISA, CISSP and
• Certificate in Database Administration.
