Information Technology Operations Associate at SunCulture Kenya Ltd

About the Role

The Information Technology Operations Associate (IT Ops Associate) to support the Information Technology Operations Manager and ensure the efficient operation of our IT infrastructure. IT Ops Associate  will assist in managing IT assets, help with the implementation and enforcement of IT policies, support network and endpoint security, and contribute to the smooth onboarding and offboarding processes. Additionally, the IT Operations Associate will assist in managing software licenses and access control, playing a key role in maintaining the security and efficiency of SunCulture’s IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management & Procurement:

• Assist in the lifecycle management of IT assets, including tracking hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
• Support procurement processes by coordinating with the IT Operations Manager and procurement teams to acquire IT assets and services.
• Help maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

IT Policies & Implementations:

• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of IT policies and procedures across the organization.
• Help monitor adherence to IT policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.
• Provide support in reviewing and updating IT policies as required.

Network & Endpoint Security:

• Support the IT Operations Manager in maintaining the security of the organization’s network, endpoints, and IT infrastructure.
• Assist in implementing security solutions to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
• Participate in regular security audits and risk assessments, helping to identify and address vulnerabilities.

Onboarding & Offboarding:

• Assist with the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including the provisioning and de-provisioning of access and equipment.
• Work closely with HR to ensure IT-related processes are streamlined for new hires and exiting employees.

License & Access Management:

• Help manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and optimal usage.
• Support access control management, ensuring that employees have the appropriate levels of access to systems and data.

Team Collaboration & Support:

• Collaborate effectively with the IT Operations team and other departments to support IT initiatives.
• Provide assistance to team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the IT Operations function.

Does this sound like you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Some experience in IT operations, including asset management, procurement, and security.
• Basic understanding of IT policies, network security, and access management.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and a structured approach to managing tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
