Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer at Zamara Kenya

ABOUT THE ROLE

• We are seeking a top-class experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable ERP solutions as part of Zamara’s digital transformation program. 
• The role will focus on customizing and extending Business Central, integrating it with surrounding systems, and ensuring optimal performance and user experience across the enterprise ecosystem. 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and deploy extensions and customizations within Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL language). 
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems such as Microsoft Power Platform. 
• Maintain code quality through proper version control, CI/CD, and documentation standards. 
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues, identifying root causes and implementing efficient fixes. 
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and resilience. 
• Support upgrade and migration activities, ensuring smooth transition of data and configurations. 
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release management processes. 
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and business users to translate requirements into technical specifications. 
• Maintain familiarity with AppSource publishing standards and emerging BC capabilities. 

GENERAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Business Central or NAV development. 
• Strong understanding of AL, VS Code environment, and extensions. 
• Proficiency in SQL Server, performance tuning, and data management. 
• Experience translating business needs into detailed technical requirements. 
• Solid problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. 

DESIRABLE

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other CI/CD pipelines. 
• Programming experience in C#, .NET, or related languages. 
• Exposure to Microsoft Cloud, Power Platform, and Azure Services. 
• Understanding of insurance, pensions, or financial service workflows.
