    Narok County Government was formed by the County Governments Act of 2012 as prescribed in the 2010 Constitution of Kenya. It is one of the 47 devolved units situated in the Great Rift Valley in the Southern part of the Country where it boarders the republic of Tanzania. Narok County has its headquarters in Narok Town, off Narok Nakuru Road. Narok County comprises of six (6) sub-counties namely: Narok North, Narok West, Narok East, Narok South, Transmara East and Transmara West.

    Inspectors (Roads) (5 Positions)

    Duties and responsibilities

    An officer at this level will be in charge of road camp or a construction unit .

    duties will include –

    • Supervision and control of all road work within the officer’s area of jurisdiction
    • Assisting in the selection and location of suitable materials for road works , tools and plant ledgers ,long sheets and tickets stores ledgers, tools and plant ledges ,log sheets and tickets ,daily activity cards and any other any other records and preparation of work programs in liaison with the divisional officers

    Requirements for appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Kenya certificate of secondary education mean grade c with c- in both mathematics and physics; and
    • Diploma in civil engineering or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
