About the Role:

Our client, a reputable organization in the security industry, is seeking to hire a competent and detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing risks, evaluating insurance proposals, determining appropriate premiums, and preparing policy documentation to ensure profitable underwriting decisions aligned with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine and evaluate insurance proposals for individuals and organizations.
• Collect and analyze background information and risk data using specialized systems.
• Assess potential risks and determine whether to accept or reject insurance applications.
• Calculate and set premiums, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Prepare insurance policy terms, conditions, and wordings to minimize claim exposure.
• Draft quotations and negotiate terms with brokers and clients.
• Liaise with insurance brokers, agents, and internal departments to facilitate smooth policy issuance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
• Ensure compliance with company underwriting policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification in Insurance (e.g., AIIK, CII) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in insurance underwriting or a related function.
