Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will entail:  

• Executing audit programmes;  
• Collecting audit evidence on major issues;  
• Reviewing internal control systems in operation; verifying the existence and safety of Government assets;  
• Preparation of draft reports and holding discussions with the clients; 
• Reviewing budgetary controls on the issuance of authority to incur expenditure and commitments; and 
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of records and reports. 
• Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor. 

Requirements for Appointment 
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;  

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID) 
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate (Attach certificates) 
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce/business administration (Accounting or Finance option) and  
• Be in possession of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Part III or it’s recognized equivalent qualifications  
• Be a registered member of ICPAK. 
• Relevant experience of two years and above (Attach evidence).
