IT Sales Manager at R4Kenya

Our client is an international IT security solutions provider with a holistic approach to offering end to end data and network systems protection. They are seeking to recruit an IT sales manager to work as the strategic interface and relations linkage with the assigned business area or group with the responsibility of representing IT to the business leaders and projects teams. The primary responsibility is to be the key IT point of contact for the enterprise functions and be their advisor for all IT related decisions.

This job reports to the Chief Information Officer and manages 2 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Serves as a “trusted advisor,” and function as a key point of contact for IT business stakeholders
• Provides highly-valued strategic consulting level support and guidance throughout key IT initiatives
• Communicates decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff
• Represents IT in business meetings and IT decisions
• Communicates and collaborates with all IT functions to ensure alignment with business priorities.
• Partners with the business to develop the budget for their IT initiatives
• Provides guidance in developing enterprise technology roadmaps
• Communicates to business all IT capabilities, activities and achievements
• Maintains transparency and works cohesively with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and his leadership team.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience required
• MBA with an Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred
• At least 10 years experience in an IT organization
• Experience planning and implementing integrated cloud platforms solutions such as Oracle ERP

Skills & Other Requirements:

• Technical knowledge of existing and emerging enterprise technologies including SaaS and PaaS.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to stay abreast of constantly evolving IT technology trends.
• Ability to drive the delivery of projects on time and on budget.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building/management skills.
• Ability to express technical concepts in business terms
• Strategic thinker and ability to develop IT roadmaps for client’s short and long term goals
