JSS Maths/ Science Teacher at WiseCare Agency

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Junior Secondary Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Mathematics and Science.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics and Science, in alignment with the JSS Curriculum.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods to cater to the needs of all students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to enhance learning.
• Encourage critical thinking, inquiry, and practical application of concepts in both subjects.
• Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
• Address student needs individually to support their growth in both Mathematics and Science.
• Work with fellow teachers to create cross-curricular opportunities.
• Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Organize parent-teacher meetings as necessary.
• Stay current with teaching methodologies, educational technology, and updates in the Mathematics and Science fields.
• Participate in school-based and external professional development activities.

Key Skills and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education with specialization in Mathematics and Science.
• At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the junior secondary level.
• Strong understanding of the Kenya National Curriculum for Mathematics and Science.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching practices.
