Kaizen Event Support at Kenya Association of Manufacturers

Job Purpose:

To support the KAM consulting unit to organize and manage KAM KAIZEN Congress East Africa, including mobilizing participants and sponsors with expected outcomes as follows: -.

Key Objectives

• Revenue generation through recruitment of participants to attend the Kaizen Congress
• Ensure the target number of participants attend the events.

Duties and Responsibilities

The specific duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: -

• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
• Recruit participants to participate in the KAIZEN Congress
• Follow up for payment from participants before the congress.
• Recruit companies to participate in the Kaizen Congress Competitions
• Making the Kaizen presentation to KAM members
• Maintaining accurate records and an up-to-date database
• Liaise with other membership associations and bodies to increase participation
• Debt management ensures all obligations are met.
• Printing certificate for participants and final KAIZEN report.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive from time to time.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Business Management or Business Administration.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in sales or marketing in a busy work environment.

Personal attributes:

• Advanced training or experience in Sales or Marketing fields is an added advantage
• Excellent Sales Skills
• Effective organizational skills, team player, keen attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
• Good knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of the Kaizen Principles
• Excellent relationship management and networking skills
• Excellent presentation & negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team and on your initiative.
