Laboratory In-Charge-Kisumu Region at AAR Healthcare Kenya

Overall purpose of the job:

To co-ordinate and controlthe activities of the laboratory in the Outpatient centre.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensurequality, accurate and consistent results generationfor outpatient and referral centretests
2. Give medical examination feedback in a timely manner
3. Attend to customer service queriesin a timely manner
4. Supervise staff within the laboratory
5. Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures
6. Ensure appropriate stock levels versus tests done and functioning of machines.
7. Ensure that all medical data within the laboratory is properly managed
8. Develop, implement and monitor a system of sample handling and custody
9. Develop a result reporting tool and template for research partners
10. Establish a proper referral system
11. Prepare laboratory reports
12. Train and offer support to laboratories that outsource to AAR Healthcare

Position Requirements:

1. A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Medical Laboratory Science.
2. A Degree/Masters is an added advantage.
3. At least two (2) years appropriate experiences in the management of laboratorystaff and functions.
4. Musthave a registration certificate from theKenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.

9. Research experience is an addedadvantage
