Job Summary:

• As a Laundry Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring the efficient and timely processing of laundry items. You will manage a team of laundry attendants, assign tasks, and maintain quality standards to meet customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing inventory, implementing safety protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of laundry staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all laundry items are processed efficiently and according to established quality standards.
• Train new employees on proper laundry procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or other issues, and determine appropriate treatment methods.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry facility, including equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including the proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate laundry services and meet customer needs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in a laundry or housekeeping environment, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of laundry procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to laundry operations.
