Legal Associate at Centum

Key Accountabilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on investment transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring initiatives.
• Conduct legal due diligence on prospective investments and business partnerships.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Support corporate governance processes, including board and committee matters.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators and other stakeholders on legal matters.
• Maintain and update legal records, contracts and statutory registers.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely legal opinions on emerging issues affecting thebusiness.
• Support the Company Secretary function as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law
• Advocate of the High Court
• Minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience
• Experience working as an in-house counsel or in a busy law firm preferably in corporate law, commercial law, litigation and conveyancing.
