Legal Claims Intern at Britam

Job Purpose:

• Reporting to the Assistant Manager Legal Claims.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and processing of all outstanding fee note as per the executed SLA and Advocates Renumeration Order.
• Follow up on outstanding documentation required for processing of outstanding fee notes and third-party claims.
• Assist in conducting reconciliation of fee note statements with service providers.
• Assist in preparing, issuing and reporting on statements confirming closure of fee note accounts with service providers.
• Initiate and pursue recovery claims including payment of fees claimed.
• Prepare relevant recovery schedules and support documentation.
• Follow up on recovery matters and maintain a tracker on the same.
• Assist with data entry, document management and retrieval of information.
• Assist in review files and follow up of documents.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Bachelor’s degree (insurance option preferred).
• No experience required but foundational knowledge of insurance processes and procedures will be an added advantage.
• Computer literate.

Technical/ Functional competencies:

• Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of insurance products.
• Sales and marketing management skills.
