    Logistics Manager

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage vehicle, inventory movement and storage
    • Implementation of logistics and warehouse procedures, systems, and processes
    • Management of AVA logistics centre
    • Scheduling, acceptance and offloading of incoming containers
    • Overall plant warehousing activities and material handling equipment
    • Production support in material delivery activities including line side inventories, trailer unloading, housekeeping, part placement, labeling, part change management, and safety
    • Monthly cycle count process, scrap process, material logistics and control
    • Ensure a steady flow of material to support daily build requirements while meeting plant objectives
    • Participate in production control activities related to scheduling, outbound vehicle shipments, end of line processes and PDI
    • Prepare weekly reports on Plant Logistics
    • Lead Supply chain analytics at AVA
    • Coordination with Operations department on production planning
    • Coordinate with production team and ensure efficiency in assembly line feeding
    • Generate gate passes for vehicle and inventory movement
    • Collaborate with customers in planning for timely supply of local content and delivery of CKD
    • Maintain materials requirements planning and customer forecasts for efficiency in production
    • Implementation of departmental cost cutting measures
    • Interface with other department to ensure synergies are utilized for the benefit of the organization
    • Continuously asses’ systems, equipment, and processes redesign to identify areas that require improvement and take decisive action
    • Championing optimal Logistics service delivery, continuous improvement, and value addition to clients
    • Ensure statutory and company regulations are observed in relation to Heath, Safety and Environment

    Academic Qualifications

    • Degree in Business Management / Supply Chain / Engineering or a related field
    • ICT skills.

    Experience

    • 5 years’ experience in an Automotive industry / Manufacturing plant
