Machine Operator - Mombasa Road, Nairobi at Reeds Africa Consult

We are hiring on behalf of our client a skilled and reliable Machine Operators to join the production team based along Mombasa Road. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience operating manufacturing machinery and a background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal machine performance, adherence to safety standards, and meeting production targets.

Job Description

• Operate and monitor production machines as per set guidelines.
• Set up machines for daily operations, adjusting settings for speed and functionality.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any faults or required repairs.
• Ensure the production process is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies during all operations.
• Keep accurate records of machine operations and production output.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the machine workstations.

Job Requirements

• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Alternatively, a Certificate in Plant Operations or related vocational training will be considered.
• 1–2 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and production safety standards.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
