Manager – Geothermal Resource Centre at Geothermal Development Company (GDC)

  Job Description

Duties and responsibilities of a manager will entail:

• Aligning departmental strategic goals and objectives with the company’s strategic goals and objectives and ensure implementation for achievement of the company’s mandate.
• External coordination (Liaison role and reports to external parties such as financiers, sectoral ministries, project contractors/consultants);
• Management of contractual and administrative aspects of external consultancies.
• Facilitate research and innovative technologies/ideas aimed at improving GDC processes and project delivery efficiency by focusing on emerging technical and engineering challenges arising from geothermal exploration, development, and production both within and outside GDC; this may be in partnership with local and international institutions/agencies.
• Directs research and development strategies, tools, management processes and methodologies and advice on innovative, research and development ideas.
• Steer all external consultancy activities aimed at generating revenue for the organization.
