    Manager Surveillance & Enforcement – Legal

    REF: VA/15/6/2022
    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implementing applicable engineering standards in Kenya;
    • Developing strategic policy;
    • Reviewing standards and regulations in the Country;
    • Maintaining effective collaboration and partnerships with stakeholders; and
    • Preparing procedures, rules or guidelines for the engineering profession.
    • Conducting compliance checks on all engineering works and services;
    • Investigating allegations of contravention of Energy codes, standards and regulations
    • Investigating allegations of contravention of energy related accidents
    • Undertaking investigations on complaints and suspicion of non- compliance
    • Liaising with County Government and other relevant agencies in respect to compliance and enforcement; and
    • Preparing procedures for compliance.

    Qualifications

    • Have at least eight (8) years relevant work experience; three (3) of which must be in supervisory role;
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Law and Criminology from a recognized institution;
    • A Master’s degree in Law, Criminology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Membership of a professional body, in good standing; where applicable;
    • Have Proficiency in Computer applications skills;
    • Demonstrated results in work performance;
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
