    Manager, Talent Acquisition

    The Role:

    • The Manager, Talent Acquisition will support talent acquisition processes, specifically for the Africa Region and will report directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager, Africa. This role is an integral partner in recruiting, managing talent/learning and development portfolios, building candidate relationships, and frequently providing candidates with their first impression of the Center. The incumbent will be a talent acquisition subject matter expert, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, be flexible to shift priorities at a moment’s notice, and have a desire to grow their career focused on the talent portfolio of human resources.
    • The position is a six (6) month fixed-term role that may be renewable depending on funding and continued need for the position. This position will be in a hybrid model of 3 days in-office and 2 days working-from-home.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    Recruitment

    • Conduct full-cycle high-volume recruitment for roles including video screen interviews and panel interviews on both the Center’s legal and non-legal roles
    • Counsel with hiring managers, executives, key stakeholders on hiring process and strategies from job origination to offer creation
    • Engage applicants from the screening process through offer negotiation, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience
    • Source passive candidates for open positions to develop candidate pipelines, according to relevant job criteria
    • Onboard new employees into HRIS system

    Recruitment Support

    • Work directly with candidates and hiring managers to schedule phone screens and interviews
    • Update candidate records and job postings in recruiting systems
    • Virtually usher interviews making sure panels are connected and remaining available to trouble shoot any technical issues
    • Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via ATS and email
    • Track recruiting activities and provide candidate status in a weekly report
    • Coordinate and provide debrief materials for all interviews
    • Identify opportunities for improving the candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
    • Ensure 100% compliance with all Center guidelines
    • Tracking new hires to ensure they have LMS accounts set up upon their arrival
    • Serve as the point of contact for other HR team members, Finance, and Operations Departments during the onboarding process

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources Management, Organizational Management, Psychology, Sociology or other Social Science related studies is required.
    • At least eight years of professional-level work experience in human resources management or leading HR Operations, or in business or public administration, at an International Organization, Government or Non-Governmental Organization, Donor Agency or Embassy is required.
    • Proficiency in the use of HR Information Systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) is required. Proficiency with Greenhouse Recruiting applicant tracking system will be advantageous.
    • Strong commitment to the Center’s mission, purpose, and values.

    Skills And Abilities

    • The incumbent must be a detail-oriented professional with a high tolerance for dealing with ambiguity in a fast paced, quickly changing work environment in addition to being able to handle frequent interruptions and a shift in priorities.
    • S/he must have multi-tasking skills in a highly matrix, diverse and dynamic work environment and must communicate effectively to achieve desired results.
    • S/he must have effective time management and a hands-on approach to move initiatives forward with detailed follow-up, follow through and commitment to bring assignments to completion, many of which will require working with urgency and a quick turnaround.
    • S/he will additionally champion a collaborative working environment within the HR Team and must have the ability to work well with others. The incumbent will be approachable, discrete and have exceptionally high client relationship skills as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with leaders and colleagues at all levels and making skillful use of resources to deliver efficient high-quality work.
    • The incumbent will be required to leverage strong oral and written communication skills daily at the workplace.
