Job Description/Requirements

Location: Lamu, Mombasa

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Planning of teaching learning activities for training period
2. Recruitment of trainees for course
3. Counselling of potential participants
4. Participate in mobilization activities to ensure that center meets the targeted number of participants within timeframe
5. Participate in TOT and workshops to learn and delivery effective curriculums to the participants
6. Source on the job training and placement opportunities for candidates
7. Assist trainees in attending interviews and extend support in post placement assistance
8. Prepare classroom timetable and training calendar for trade
9. Deliver practical and theoretical curriculum of the trade**
10. Conduct internal assessment for trainees during and after training**
11. Invite industry players for guest lectures**
12. Arrange Field visits and exposure visits for trainees**
13. Network with trade specific industries**
14. Maintain track record of learning and keep the database up to date**
15. Keep the MIS updated**
16. Provide reports as and when required**
17. Prepare case studies and testimonies**
18. Participate in placement drives**
19. Deliver learning through online tools available like LMS**
20. Conduct parent’s meetings **
21. Assist center staff in important assignments as and when arrives

Required Qualifications:

1. Diploma or Degree holder in Logistics through port
2. 2 years practical experience of training Logistics with focus to customer service at different levels in sea port environment.
3. Good understanding Logistics value chain
4. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
5. Good presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills
6. Good facilitation skills
