Operations Manager (Silk Farming) at Summit Recruitment and Search

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations for mulberry planting, harvesting, and transport to ensure efficiency.
• Plan mulberry capacity, including land scouting and timely seedling propagation to meet silkworm farming partners’ needs.
• Resolve operational issues, implement quality control, and improve efficiency to meet processing standards.
• Supervise silkworm rearing operations, ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality control processes.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, implementing quality control to meet processing standards.
• Develop and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Set and monitor KPIs for mulberry planting an harvesting, silkworm farming and cocoon output, making adjustments as needed.
• Manage contracts and relationships with mulberry farming partners to ensure alignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing field operations, logistics, and supply chain functions in a rural agricultural setting.
• Strong expertise in project management methodologies, with excellent planning and scheduling skills.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Track record in managing community relations, mobilizing, and training farmers.
