Painter / Product Trainer-Nairobi at MSVL Group

 Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Diploma or Certificate in Paint Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of practical painting/application experience, preferably in paints, coatings, construction chemicals, or building materials.
• Strong knowledge of paint application, surface preparation, tools, equipment, and finishing techniques; training/product demonstration experience is an added advantage.
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused and target-oriented approach. • Proficient in MS Office; fluent in English and Kiswahili. Additional regional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory; a valid driving licence is an added advantage.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct practical product training and demonstrations for painters, contractors, applicators, dealers, and counter staff.
• Demonstrate surface preparation, application methods, tools, coverage, and finishing techniques, including correct use of painting equipment.
• Support site application trials, mock-ups, product launches, and market activities to drive product adoption and demand.
• Conduct market visits with the Sales team, build relationships with key influencers, and identify new training, site, project, and sales opportunities.
• Provide basic on-site application guidance, troubleshoot product/application issues, and escalate technical complaints appropriately.
• Prepare weekly/monthly activity reports in coordination with Sales & Marketing and Technical teams.
