We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Payroll Senior to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services to multiple clients.
The Payroll Senior will manage end-to-end payroll processing for assig- ned clients, ensure full compliance with Kenyan statutory require- ments, support client relationships, and deliver high-quality payroll ser- vices under the supervision of the Payroll Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process end-to-end payroll for multiple clients accurately and on time.
Review payroll inputs including overtime, bonuses, benefits, and adjustments.
Calculate and file statutory deductions including PAYE, NSSF, SHA, NITA, Housing Levy, and other applica- ble levies.
Prepare and submit payroll returns through KRA iTax.
Maintain accurate payroll data, system integrity, and secure backups.
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned payroll clients and respond to queries professionally.
Prepare payroll summaries and periodic reports for client review.
Identify opportunities for additional payroll or related services and escalate appropriately.
Prepare payroll outputs for review by the Payroll Manager prior to client release.
Maintain proper documentation to support payroll audits and reviews.
Support internal and external payroll audits.
Reconcile payroll data with accounting records and maintain strict confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
CPA or ACCA qualification.
3-5 years' relevant payroll experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan payroll laws and statutory compliance.
High attention to detail, strong execution discipline, and good client communication skills.
