People Lead, VSO Global Project Implementation at Voluntary Service Overseas

Job Description

1. Maintain VSO People systems and processes as suitable for use in Programme Implementation
2. Support Project Leads and Project People Managers to monitor performance across blended teams of employees and volunteers in ways that allow for effective compliance and management.
3. Support Project Leads and Project People Managers to monitor team engagement levels with the work of their project and the VSO approach.
4. Provide leadership in working with VSO people processes, values and approaches across the range of project implementation teams.
5. Provide professional coaching and mentoring to Project People Managers
6. Produce straightforward, valuable, people-based management information, by project, to improve processes, performance and decision making.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Technical
   1. A recognized professional qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent in HR leadership experience.
   2. Significant generalist Human Resources or People Business Partner experience gained working at a senior level in a volunteering/ non-governmental organisational context.
   3. Substantial experience of creating, influencing, and developing a high performing, globally
2. Relationship Building
   1. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence across the organisation. Considerable experience managing professional and collaborative relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
3. Use of digital applications.
   1. Knowledge and experience of Human Resource
   2. Information systems (preferably Salesforce) and
   3. Microsoft 365, with the ability to produce HR
