Job Requirement

For a person to be qualified for appointment as Director County Transactions they must meet the following requirement;

•  A Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university.
• A minimum of five years post admission qualification.
• Holds a certificate in legislative drafting
• Meets the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
• Demonstrate excellent Communication and reporting skills.
• Demonstrate excellent research skills
•  Ability to review legal documents on strict timelines.
• Proficiency in Computer Applications.

Job Description

• Drafting and reviewing bills and policies emanating from departments in the County Executive.
• Advising the County Executive on Legislative matters.
•  Assisting in developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure that they meet Constitutional and Statutory threshold.
• Reviewing County Government Legislation.
• Identifying strategic priority areas that require law reform within the County and undertaking activities in that regard.
• Drafting bills and subsidiary legislation for introduction to the assembly.
• Ensuring publication of laws and policies enacted by the County Assembly in the Kenya Gazette.
