    The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) was established by the Government of Kenya on the 14th of January 2013 under an Act of Parliament-Act No.4 of 2013, to provide research based curricula and curriculum support materials responsive to the needs of the society.

     

    Principal Office Administrator

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinating, organizing and prioritizing office activities and operations to enhance efficiency and compliance;
    • Managing agendas, travel arrangements and appointments;
    • Tracking and managing stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary, from the System;
    • Coordinating the preparation and implementation of the annual departmental work plans, budget and procurement plan;
    • Supervising administrative staff and assign responsibilities to ensure performance;
    • Preparation of agendas, travel arrangements and appointments;
    • Tracking of incoming and outgoing mails and follow-up on actions taken;
    • Planning and managing Meetings with internal and external customers;
    • Scheduling and updating the Office diary;
    • Maintaining proper Filing System for all office records;
    • Contributing to the integrity of all internal information systems as required, by maintaining data through timely updates and revision of information where required.

    Requirement for Appointment

    • Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Senior Office Administrator Officer KICD Grade 6 or comparable position;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: - Secretarial Studies or in Business and Office Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR
    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya
    • National Examinations Council (KNEC) or equivalent qualification form a recognized institution;
    • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
    • Proficiency in computer applications
