Principal Physical Planner

Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this position a candidate must:
- Be a citizen of Kenya;
- Have served in the grade of Chief Physical Planner for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- Hold a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a University recognized in Kenya;
- Be a corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter) and in good standing;
- Be registered by the Physical Planners Registration Board;
- Be in possession of a certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

- The candidates should apply by downloading and filling application for employment form available on our website www.kisumu.go.ke or www.cpsb.kisumu.go.ke.
- Hard copies of application for employment form, national ID, academic and professional certificates should be physically delivered in a sealed envelope addressed to the undersigned, indicating the position applied for on top of the envelope to Kisumu County Public Service Board Offices, Okore Road Milimani during working hours on or before 16th October,2026 at 5.00p.m.
- Those with foreign Degrees should have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE). In addition, during the interview, they will be required to submit their academic certificates authenticated by the issuing Institutions to the Board.
