Principal Superintending Engineer (Roads) at Taita Taveta County Public Service Board

Duties and responsibilities

• Planning and controlling and coordinating of designs.
• Construction supervision, repairs and maintenance of roads
• Coordinating of improvement of roads services
• Checking of engineering consultant designs and fees
• Supervision and training of engineers and technical staff
• Preparation of tender documents
• Monitoring the executive of roads development projects
• Preparation of payment certificates and analysis of contractual claims

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Have a Bachelor` s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution
• Relevant working experience of at least 10 years, 3 of which at a level of Chief superintendent engineer Roads/materials in the public Service or its comparable equivalent in the private sector
• Be a registered Engineer by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya
• Current valid annual practicing license from the engineering registration board of Kenya
• Cooperate membership with the institution of engineers of Kenya (IEK)
• Demonstrated general administrative ability required for direction, control and implementation of civil engineering works
