    Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Specialist

    The Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Specialist will;

    • Shape the USAID Employment Pathways for Youth approach to private sector engagement and partnerships to maximize programmatic impact and sustainability.
    • Identify opportunities for employer partnerships; develop and implement strategies for TVET engagement with the private sector; and build the capacity of TVET institutions to establish effective and sustainable partnerships.

    At minimum, the PSE Specialist shall have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, business or international development from an accredited institution; or commensurate experience as a private sector engagement specialist in Kenya;
    • Experience working in the private sector or a demonstrated understanding of private sector engagement principles and ability to develop a vision for both private sector and education sector alignment to support demand driven technical training;
    • Five (5) years of relevant and progressively increasing responsibility developing and maintaining strategic relationships between public and private sector partners and growing those partnerships;
    • Demonstrated success working with senior private sector partners, national ministry, donor partners, and international organization partners;
    • Demonstrated track record of working in teams and fostering partnerships; and
    • Ability to write, communicate, and present fluently in English.

    Additional skills:

    • Progressively responsible experience managing complex donor-funded projects, preferably USAID-funded projects; and
    • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory work experience, including direct supervision of technical and/or non-technical (support) staff
