The Curriculum Support Specialist will;

• Cultivate and manage relationships with TVETs, as well as senior Government of Kenya officials, development partners and other stakeholders.
• They will oversee curriculum enhancement and instructors’ capacity development and skills to incorporate learning for a diverse cohort of youth/non-traditional learners seeking TVET skills training.

At minimum, the Curriculum Support Specialist shall have:

• A Masters degree in a relevant field such as education, higher education/TVET, vocational skills training, youth/adult learning, curriculum development/instructional design, international development, or other field related to education from an accredited institution;
• Strong understanding of Kenya’s TVET context;
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant and progressively increasing responsibility leading programs focused on technical training, youth development, workforce development, higher education, private sector engagement, or other fields related to the program with at least four (4) of those years in Kenya or countries with similar context;
• Experience in designing, analyzing, and strengthening systems related to curriculum design, instructional design, material development, training facilitation, training evaluation and assessment.
• Leadership in capacity development of higher education institutions including coordinating training for staff, education professionals aimed at improving curriculum enhancement and pedagogy at TVETs, colleges, polytechnics and universities level.
• Prior experience working with senior education officials at schools/TVETs, county/national government, development partners, and the private sector
• Ability to write, communicate, and present fluently in English.

Additional relevant experience;

• progressive responsible experience in managing complex donor-funded projects, preferably USAID-funded projects; and
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory work experience, including direct supervision of technical and/or non-technical (support) staff

The Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Specialist will;

• Shape the USAID Employment Pathways for Youth approach to private sector engagement and partnerships to maximize programmatic impact and sustainability.
• Identify opportunities for employer partnerships; develop and implement strategies for TVET engagement with the private sector; and build the capacity of TVET institutions to establish effective and sustainable partnerships.

At minimum, the PSE Specialist shall have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, business or international development from an accredited institution; or commensurate experience as a private sector engagement specialist in Kenya;
• Experience working in the private sector or a demonstrated understanding of private sector engagement principles and ability to develop a vision for both private sector and education sector alignment to support demand driven technical training;
• Five (5) years of relevant and progressively increasing responsibility developing and maintaining strategic relationships between public and private sector partners and growing those partnerships;
• Demonstrated success working with senior private sector partners, national ministry, donor partners, and international organization partners;
• Demonstrated track record of working in teams and fostering partnerships; and
• Ability to write, communicate, and present fluently in English.

Additional skills:

• Progressively responsible experience managing complex donor-funded projects, preferably USAID-funded projects; and
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory work experience, including direct supervision of technical and/or non-technical (support) staff

The Finance and Administration Manager will be;

• Responsible for the financial management of the award.
• Ensure transparent and appropriate use of all U.S. Government funds.
• Oversee all aspects of compliance, budgeting, financial management, and reporting; sub award management; procurement, human resources management, and the general administrative support in compliance with U.S. government regulations and policies.
• The Finance and Administration Manager may be required to build capacity, oversee, and ensure accountability of sub-recipient(s).

At minimum, the Finance and Administration Manager shall have:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, finance, accounting or its equivalent from an accredited institution;
• Relevant professional certification from an accredited accounting institution;
• Five (5) years of relevant experience as a finance manager on a donor-funded project;
• At least three (3) years of experience with USAID funded projects and understanding of USAID rules and regulations.
• At least three (3) years of experience directly supervising administrative, finance, and/or operational staff;
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, financial reporting standards, financial management processes and procedures; demonstrated ability to implement effective workflow processes and procedures to monitor, evaluate, and report on the award implementation and expenditures;
• Experience developing and/or maintaining financial management systems and budget tracking tools;
• Experience with oversight of human resources functions, logistics, procurement, sub-awards and routine administrative office support is preferred; and
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally.

Necessary additional skills:

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor will;

• Oversee MEL and CLA activities. This includes developing and implementing the AMELP;
• Establishing and maintaining an effective monitoring, reporting, accountability, and learning system to support activity implementation;
• Knowledge management; evidence-based planning and decision making; and incorporating lessons learned from activity implementation for adaptive management.
• The MEL Advisor will support the Chief of Party and work with other MEL staff and USAID to provide technical leadership, guidance, and oversight of MEL activities under the award.
• He/ She may be required to build capacity, oversee, and ensure accountability of sub-recipient(s).

At minimum, the MEL Advisor shall have;

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, mathematics, social sciences, or other relevant area of study from an accredited institution;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability in international development programs preferably in Kenya and/or on USAID-funded projects;
• Experience supporting development program and projects with specific focus on youth development, workforce development, higher education, technical and vocational training, or other similar experience relevant to the programmatic focus of USAID Employment Pathways for Youth;
• Computer proficiency in general office and statistical software applications e.g., SPSS, R, STATA, Excel, SQL;
• Demonstrated skills in training and capacity development of staff in MEL is highly desired;
• Demonstrated supervisory and management skills;
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative data management skills;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally; and
