Procurement Manager at Penda Health

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penda Health Limited is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities and ensure we acquire high-quality medical equipment, supplies, and services efficiently and cost-effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and execute procurement strategies that support our organizational goals.
• Supplier Management: Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for the best value.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement processes comply with regulations and mitigate associated risks.
• Budget Management: Assist departments with the management of their procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor the procurement officers to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal departments and external stakeholders to align procurement activities with needs.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and use data insights to improve procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent. 
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the health sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards, particularly those related to medical supplies and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Certification in procurement e.g., CIPS or its equivalent
