Production Supervisor at Kinangop Dairy Limited

Job Purpose

• The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and reliable production operations by translating production plans into daily execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily production targets are achieved within required timelines.
• Monitor and control milk intake, processing, and utilization to minimize losses.
• Supervise production of milk, and other dairy products.
• Ensure effective CIP, sterilization, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Supervise packaging and filling machines to minimize downtime and wastage.
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of packaging materials.
• Maintain production records, waste reports, and shift reports.
• Conduct routine quality checks before product release.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
• Report machine breakdowns and operational challenges for corrective action.
• Ensure availability of production materials and supplies.
• Participate in cost-control initiatives and resource optimization.
• Provide leadership and supervision to production teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Production Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years‘ experience in dairy, food processing or FMCG manufacturing.
• Knowledge of dairy processing operations, quality management, and food safety.
• Experience with packaging/filling machines and production equipment.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP principles, and workplace safety standards.
• Computer proficiency; ERP experience will be an added advantage.
