Professor in Finance and Accounting at United States International University - USIU Africa

Job summary:

The successful candidates will be reporting to the Dean, Chandaria School of Business (CSoB) and will be expected to teach, conduct research and engage in service performance.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks/Duties:

• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in the specific areas of specialization as listed above.
• Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.
• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs are up-to-date and marketable.
• Participate in program assessment and reviews.
• Supervise students’ research (projects/ thesis/ dissertations) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Engage in research in one’s area of expertise.
• Engage in service to the University, the profession and to the community.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications /Educational/Professional Experience

To qualify for appointment an applicant must have:

• A Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited University.
• At least 3 years’ teaching and research experience since being appointed at the rank of Associate Professor/Associate Research Professor.
• At least sixty (60) equivalent publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014 of which at least forty (40) should be from refereed scholarly journals since attaining Associate Professorship.
• Supervised at least six (6) postgraduate students to completion, two of whom must be doctoral students.
• Attracted research funds since attaining the rank of Associate Professor.
